Lockeroom was founded with a singular focus: Dramatically improve the lives of executives.
Our founders
Lachy & Raph were training partners in the gym before they became business partners. This shared love of science-backed training and getting results that last touches every piece of the Lockeroom experience.
After 7 years of running their first group fitness chain together the boys decided to pivot into Lockeroom. In March 2021 off the back of some difficult years they opened the first location on Bridge St, Sydney CBD.
Since then Lockeroom has become the leader in executive fitness… the gym high performing time-poor executives call home. Busy executives didn’t need louder workouts or flashier classes. They needed a high-trust environment that fit their schedule and delivered real, lasting results.Lockeroom isn’t just about looking better. It’s about building a body and a lifestyle that supports who you want to become.
Welcome to Lockeroom.
“It all started for me when I picked up my first dumbbell. Deeply insecure about how I looked whilst lacking the knowledge and support needed to achieve my goals. Now, I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. I’ve coached everyday people, professional athletes, and CEOs, but no matter who I worked with, I kept seeing the same problem: smart, capable people were constantly let down by the fitness world. It wasn’t a lack of effort… it was a lack of structure, consistency, and real, expert guidance. Most gyms were built for the masses.
Lockeroom was built for people like us - driven, time-poor, and unwilling to settle for average.I co-founded Lockeroom to create the place I wish existed when I started: high-performance health, without the ego or the chaos. A space that makes it easier to take care of yourself, not harder. Where privacy, professionalism, and progress are non-negotiables.
For me, this is more than a business. It’s a mission. Because I know firsthand how good life feels when your health is firing—and how much it suffers when it’s not.”
— Lachlan Rowston, Co-founder
”When I first started out I used training as a way to build up my confidence and performance on the rugby field.I was the smallest person in height and weight in my school year so the gym gave me the tools I needed to exceed my initial capabilities.
After having that experience and knowing how transformative training can be for your life, I was on a mission to share it.I could see the time poor executive struggle to make fitness work amongst all the other demands of life and knew I could build something that was unique and fit into their life.
15 years later and the father of 2 young boys I now train with a new purpose: to be the fit, healthy, ‘cool’ dad that can keep up with them at home and on the sporting fields.Lockeroom exists as the sole solution to busy executives, I’m proud of what we’re building and can’t wait to share it with more people.”
