Here are the top 3 tips we give our executives to shed excess fat and keep it off:


  1. High protein intake:

1.8-2.2g of protein per kilo of body weight. For an 80kg person that’s roughly 180-200g a day… or 8 chicken breasts. It’s a lot! But what we know from the research about a high intake is those who hit these numbers have the highest muscle mass, lowest body fat and most consistent energy levels. Protein bars, shakes, steaks and greek yoghurt all count!

2. High step count:

10,000 steps a day is the minimum. Walking meetings, walking calls, early morning strides are all part of a regimen that keeps the body weight down. We suggest using a wearable for accountability.

3. Sleep like a baby

sleep hygiene/quality is a deep topic but the most important thing our clients recognise is without good sleep every night… training hard, eating well and losing weight is like pressing the accelerator with your other foot on the brake. Make it a priority and watch the fat melt away.

What I like so much about the 3 steps above is that they are daily actions.

You can literally start tomorrow and be on track.

If the steps seem overly simple and boring it’s because they are.

The best things are often the most un-sexy.
