The Importance of Staying Hydrated for Energy

Did you know that drinking enough water throughout the day can help boost your energy levels?

Here are a few reasons why staying hydrated is so important:

  1. Improved Brain Function

Your brain is made up of about 75% water, so when you're dehydrated, your brain function can suffer. By drinking enough water, you can help keep your brain functioning at its best, which can lead to increased focus, concentration, and mental clarity.

2. Increased Blood Flow

When you're dehydrated, your blood volume decreases, which can make it harder for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. This can leave you feeling tired and sluggish. Drinking enough water helps maintain blood volume and improves blood flow, which can increase energy levels.

3. Reduced Toxins

Drinking enough water helps flush toxins out of your body, which can leave you feeling more energised and alert. When toxins build up in your body, they can cause fatigue and other symptoms that can leave you feeling drained.

Overall, staying hydrated is essential for maintaining energy levels throughout the day.

We say Aim to drink at least 2.5-3L + of water per day, plus a bit more if you’re training.

Bonus tip is you need about 30% less volume if you’re consuming it with electrolytes (hydralite, gatorade, salt etc.)

Share this one around to your colleagues if you’re feeling a bit fatigued.
